Annual Conference 2022, New Delhi

Indian Valve and Actuator Manufacturers Association (IVAMA Association) successfully organized Annual Conference 2022, a customer focused event in The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi on 15th July 2022 to provide opportunities to our members to interact with the customers and EPCs. The theme of the conference was “Make in India for the World”. The keynote address was delivered by Ms Vini Mahajan, Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, GOI. She mentioned that “Jal Jeevan Mission provides a huge opportunity to make in India, for India, and also for the world. The products should be of the quality that would work in rural areas for years to come. The industry should also work with states for upgrading local skills. It will be imperative to prevent leakages and other wastage of water."

Senior executives of Oil & Gas majors, EPC Contractors, PSUs and Government officials actively participated in the conference. In the session on “Opportunities in Upcoming Projects in Oil & Gas”, interesting presentation were delivered by eminent speakers: Mr Rajiv Gupta, ED - Technical, Engineers India Limited, Mr M Venugopal, Senior VP (Procurement), Reliance Industries Limited, Mr Ebenezer Chairmandural, VP, Procurement Head – India, Technip Energies and Mr Shashiratna Pathak, JGM - SCM / Section Head - Piping Bulk, L&T Energy. In the next session on “Opportunities in Upcoming Projects in Power, Water & New Energy”, valuable presentations were delivered by distinguished speakers: Mr M K Srivastava, ED – Engineering, NTPC Ltd, Mr G Balasubramanian, Head – Supply Chain & Subcontract Management, L&T Construction, Mr Sumanta Basu, Head - Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engg, L&T-MHI Power Boilers and Mr Naveen Ahlawat – Head, Coal Gasification Projects, Green Hydrogen & CCSU, Jindal Steel & Power. In the final session on “New Technologies and Macro Economic Scenario”, exciting presentations were delivered by eminent speakers: Mr Paul Isaac, President, Flow Control Business Line, Neles India (Part of Valmet), Mr K S Goutham, Senior Manager - Retrofit, Auma India and Mr Prakashchandra Kotian, Senior Partner Consultant, Feedback Advisory Services. These presentations and addresses gave participants overall picture of the industry and were helpful to understand customers’ requirements.

There was very good response and over 150 delegates attended the conference. There was an exhibition area for the sponsors to showcase their new products.
