Suggested Interactions between Foundries & Valve Manufacturers for Trouble Free Casting Procurement
Castings are very important raw materials for manufacturing of valves and actuators. Understanding of foundry processes, various materials, cost implication, quality, price of foundry raw materials, etc. will greatly help in our industry. Hence, we are pleased to inform that we have arranged a Technical Webinar with the help of ‘The Institute of Indian Foundrymen’ (IIF - www.indianfoundry.org) which is a professional organisation and is affiliated to World Foundry Organisation and CII.
This webinar will help share the knowledge of expert for deeper understanding of castings.
Agenda:
The Casting Procurement Process (Importance of Contract review (Interactions between valve manufacturer & Foundry)
1)Technical Delivery Conditions for Sand Casting procurement....
2)New Product development (Foundry & Valve manufacturer‘s perspectives).
3)Design for Manufacturability
(Types of Casting Defects & solutions from Foundry and Valve design perspectives etc...)
It is presented by Mr Parthiban Jegannathan, currently serving as Director Operations at M/S. Flow Link Systems (P) Ltd, part of Voith (a German Multinational company).
He is basically a Mechanical Engineer (B.E) with PG in Business Administration (MBA).
He possesses over 25 years of Experience in various Manufacturing positions including Steel Foundry Methods, production, Machining, Quality Assurance, Valve Assembly & testing etc...
Flowlink being both a steel casting (foundry) component provider (to leading OEM’s like Cameron, Flowserve etc..) and also a Valve manufacturer, he has a blend of knowledge in both the casting processes as well as Valve manufacturing.
He has travelled to many countries and has been to valve manufacturign facilities of leading valve manufacturers like Cameron, Flowserve, Streamflo, Valmet etc, to name a few.
